The CODE series have always been at the forefront of Madrid’s Techno scene, and, as the tradition rules, they presented a mammoth lineup to celebrate their long-awaited 15th anniversary in Fabrik.
14 hours of music, more than 30 artists and 4 rooms. These were CODE’s credentials for this special occasion, along a lineup filled with some of the finest Techno talents from all over the world.
Every room had its own atmosphere, with a reigning and unmistakable industrial touch in all of them. The Main Room is the biggest of the bunch, where up to 3,500 ravers can dance under the same roof. The other 3 areas have a more reduced capacity, but each one stands out as different from the others in its own way. If immensity is what you’re looking for, search no more: Fabrik has got you covered.
Imposing is the word you would use to describe the list of names that were at Fabrik that day: Berghain regulars Marcel Dettmann and Rødhåd, the UK mainstay Ben Sims, Antigone, Rebekah and her merciless beats, Dax J (who will be with us in December at HEX at RZZ #3), Dutch duo Abstract Division, the legendary Perc, Paula Temple, Barcelona-based Flug, Cristian Wünsch… and it goes on and on. The quality seen on all the sets was remarkable, touching basically every corner of Techno, from Industrial to Acid, Rave, Dub and other sides of the vast sound palette the genre has to offer.
Thank you CODE, its creators Nuke and Cesar Almena, and Fabrik Madrid for this great event, see you soon.
